Dalton Carter
Foreman

Dalton is a horticulturalist and artist who has been working creatively with plants for over half his life.  Having gained experience with landscape materials as an FFA club member and horticulture student in high school, he has worked extensively in fine nurseries and gardens all over the country.  More recently, he received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a focus in Art and Technology.  He is an imaginative worker familiar with a wide range of materials and fabrication techniques and his versatility makes him an excellent on-site problem solver.  A field botanist at heart, Dalton seeks inspiration from the relationships that emerge between plants in natural settings and favors the endemic flora of a locale in his designs.  When he’s not hard at work converting lawns into wildlife habitats and edible oases, Dalton loves going on long bike rides and reading on the beach.

Jared Rodgers
Carpenter
Originally from Idaho, Jared has lived in the Bay area since 2007.  His first job was apprenticing with a carpenter and many years later he still takes great pride in his work.  Aside from outdoor structures, Jared likes to build sounds with his voice, guitar, and synth instruments in his post-rock band, Empty Vessel.  He enjoys backpacking, mountain biking, motorcycles, and does his best to leave the world in a better place than he found it.
