Native & Drought-Tolerant Gardens

Plantings to mimic the natural appearance of a wild California landscape.

This south Berkeley landscape is not irrigated and receives almost no water during the summer.
Gardening with plants that are adapted to a particular site ensures that they will thrive with minimal caretaking.  This also creates a proper sense of place, as well as provides attractive flowers for pollinating birds and insects.
